The Washington Kids Foundation (WKF) is offering summer employment opportunities to

university students who enjoy working with youth, are open-minded, non-judgmental and model

excellent behavior.

The students will work with WKF’s Summer Program and must be supportive and empathetic to

the youths’ needs, assisting them in goal setting and follow-through. They must have strong

verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to follow and give instruction.

Our Summer Program provides youth with physical literacy education and team-building skills

through interactive activities such as basketball, soccer and dodgeball. Our lounge area offers

board games, card games, pool, foosball and video games to promote peer and social time.

Arts and crafts and project building is also offered. And daily out-trips to local attractions are

incorporated into the program’s curriculum.

The Washington Kids Foundation is located in North Vancouver and provides a safe, inclusive

and fun-filled youth centre focused on fitness, education and positive mentoring opportunities for

youth aged 5 to 12 years old.

Hours of operations are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

If you know a university student who would be a great fit for this summer employment

opportunity, please have them e-mail their resume to Joe Yankanna at
