Minimum Site Requirement:
The Washington Kids Foundation (WKF) is offering summer employment opportunities to
university students who enjoy working with youth, are open-minded, non-judgmental and model
The students will work with WKF’s Summer Program and must be supportive and empathetic to
the youths’ needs, assisting them in goal setting and follow-through. They must have strong
verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to follow and give instruction.
Our Summer Program provides youth with physical literacy education and team-building skills
through interactive activities such as basketball, soccer and dodgeball. Our lounge area offers
board games, card games, pool, foosball and video games to promote peer and social time.
Arts and crafts and project building is also offered. And daily out-trips to local attractions are
incorporated into the program’s curriculum.
The Washington Kids Foundation is located in North Vancouver and provides a safe, inclusive
and fun-filled youth centre focused on fitness, education and positive mentoring opportunities for
youth aged 5 to 12 years old.
Hours of operations are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
